* 070707 – More Developments! *

Friday 6th, Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th July 2007 Hampshire, Near London

There are just over two months to go until the 070707 commences and the anticipation for this incredible event continues to build.

Part of the appeal of this debut festival in the heart of Hampshire is a breath of fresh air in an otherwise clogged calendar of derivative events.

070707 boasts 8 stages encompassing a huge range of world wide electronic music, yet at the same time offers a totally different musical menu to the more established festivals. 070707 covers every great genre of music, from trance and house through to techno and psy-trance, from breaks and beats through to hip-hop and drum and bass, all formed with an honest and pure philosophy to promote and put on the best, most exciting and stimulating live acts and DJs around from far and wide.

The festival has been nurtured into life by a dedicated team aiming to promote something different from the norm, not just bringing in a huge scope of acts who you generally wouldn’t see at a festival, but seeking to open people’s minds to other forms of aural interest too.

Enrico, one of the festival’s promoters, says that:

“For all of us it’s been an incredible time and a learning journey. We have worked so hard towards all of this, and for the last three years have spent so much time formulating and planning and developing the 070707 concept and what we want to get out of the festival. It’s been incredibly challenging for everyone involved and we never expected it to be quite so hard, yet at the same time learning everything new has made it into such an adventure! We are hardly sleeping to be honest as everyone’s buzzing all the time – it’s a very happy and exciting time but there’s always more to do and more areas to develop – this is what keeps us awake!”

With many more acts still be added to an already bulging lineup, 070707 seeks to offer pretty much something for everyone. The setting is in a beautiful part of the UK and tickets are starting to fly as the word continues to spread.

“We just want people to come to a beautiful part of the UK and to enjoy themselves,” Enrico continues. “There’s going to be great music, a great environment and some amazing people from all over the world. We are putting a lot of thought into the production and all of the stages will look amazing. All of the acts are really excited, so many of the guys I have spoken to can’t wait to get here and play. And they are also really intrigued with the ideas we have – we really want this to be something unique for everyone involved, from the many people who are coming to the people who have stalls to the people playing! And I think we are getting there too.”

Amen to that!
