As 070707 draws ever closer, more information is coming through regarding plans for this awe-inspiring debut festival and what’s in store for 15,000 people starting from Thursday July 5th.
Wanting to express how much time and effort has gone into this huge project, the 070707 team have been working for over three years to develop their ideas and see them shortly blossom into spectacular fruition.
“We have got a 24-hour licence for 15,000 people so we have thought how can we use this most effectively and to everyone’s benefit?” Enrico, one of the festival’s promoters, explained. “For some people the party will keep going the whole way through, we know some of the Antiworld crew like to party really hard, so we have been thinking how can these people enjoy themselves all the time?
“To start with, if people arrive Thursday they 5th July are able to enter then and start the party early as we have the licence for this covered too, plus people have the chance to find a good place to pitch a tent etc.
“And another plan we have is to keep music going pretty much the whole time through, but at different stages and areas of the site,” Enrico continues. “We feel this is important to offer people the right to keep going, but also that people who want to rest can too. We will do this by staggering the music later on in the night, so after 8 hours of say techno or trance, people will want something different and they will be able to go and wind down a bit, but still be able to listen to music. We feel this is offering something unique for people and that is shows we really want to cater for all tastes and abilities to party!”
The key to this plan is progressive music in the early morning hours, so as the more intense stages are rested until the next day, those still seeking some fun will be able to find it – but at slightly less BPM! It’s an integral element to 070707 and another idea all involved are proud of, offering something new to festival going!
070707’s 8 areas include huge open air stages, intimate rooms and larger, more club-orientated tents capable of holding thousands of people. This has been a crucial point to the festival, seeking to offer a wide range not of only music but the places in which to listen to it too, helping to embody the thinking that has gone into the event as a whole.
Over the three days and nights, stages will be hosted by Antiworld and HOMmega, Just The One?, UMAMi, Firefly, Atomic Jam, Egg Club, Escape From Samsara Vs Pendragon, Jungle Drums Vs Never Enough & Resistants, Party Proactive, Chew The Fat, Archangel Present, Domo Records, Caipihna Bar, Ninja Tune, Brazilian Music and many more too, reflecting the broad scope of what to expect at 070707. Headline guests are Infected Mushroom with their full live show, complimented by a simply jaw-dropping list of live acts and DJs.
